Welcome, I hope all of you had wonderful summer and are ready for an exciting year in the 3rd Grade. I am very excited about this year and am looking forward to working with each and every one of you.
My name is Libby Lanford and I will be teaching Reading, Language Arts and Social Studies. My homeroom class will also be working with Mrs. Jaroszewski for Math and Science.
A little about myself. I graduated from Sul Ross State University in 1998. I have been teaching for 18 years. 10 at Navarro Elementary (3rd grade), 4 of them at Seguin ISD (4th grade and 1st grade), 1 at Pringle-Morse CISD (Sp. Ed), 1 at Lifegate Christian School (1st grade), and 2 at Emanuel’s Lutheran Montessori Day School (2-4 yr. olds). I have been married for 17 years and have 1 child who is a Junior at Navarro High School. Some things I love... chocolate and salty snacks, sweet iced tea, hot weather, watching kids learn, Mexican food, blue jeans and flip flops, teaching children to love reading, my favorite number is 7, fantastic STAAR scores, my birthday (November 19), spending time with my family, and most of all my students. Photos of our class will be coming soon and can be viewed in the photo album.
We are going to be learning many new things and preparing for the STARR test all year. Attendance is an important key in your child’s education. Please make every effort to have your child in class and on time everyday.
