Construction Update - 4/26/2016

For the remainder of this week, there will many trucks hauling base material for the tennis courts coming and going during the school day and in the evening. They have been told not to operate from 7:15-8 AM or 2:45 to 3:45 PM. Most are using Link Road from Hwy 46, which is very disturbing to people who live on Link, but they should be finished by Friday.

The month of May will bring noise and disruption to many of our campus areas:

1. Excavation will begin on the band hall expansion, and the band hall will be vacated by this Friday so that renovations may begin. The area around the band hall – front, back, and side will be fenced off. The doors at the end of the art/drama wing of the high school will not be available. Band class will be held in the high school gym. Students going from the high school to Ag. or C Lot will be directed through the track area. Junior High students will have limited access to the technology building, and will have to use the football field area for recreation after lunch. There will be greatly increased construction traffic on the road in back of the Ag buildings, Junior High cafeteria, band hall and the high school cafeteria area. Traffic, other than food delivery and trash pickup, should avoid the area.

2. Excavation will begin on the west side of the Elementary School for the eight classroom addition. Elementary faculty should park up front. Panther Club children should be picked up in the front of the building. Parents may park and go in the front entrance.

Smile and be patient, please. The results will be worth the mess! Students may be moving around in areas that they do not normally walk through. We need to be especially careful in parking lots.

Please let the district know if questions or issues arise that need attention!
