Welcome to Navarro Elementary School!

My name is Jayna Dahl, and I am so excited to be your school counselor! This is my 9th year in education, having spent most of my time teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi - Go Islanders! I then received my Master's in Counseling and Development through the School Counselor program at Lamar University. My job is to make sure that all of our students are academically, socially, and emotionally successful at our school. I collaborate with teachers, students, and parents to facilitate a positive school environment. I will present guidance lessons that cover a variety of topics related to character development and social/emotional learning. I also work with students individually and in a small group setting based on specific needs. I look forward to getting to know each student and building positive relationships!
